The decision by the Supreme Court of Kenya to annul Kenya’s presidential election has sent shockwaves throughout Africa.
The Court cites irregularities during the election and ordered a new vote within 60 days.

The decision by the Supreme Court was due to a petition filed by Mr. Raila Odinga, 72, who alleged widespread fraud in the election, including the hacking of the electoral commission’s computer system.
The African Union said in a statement over the weekend that the people have taken the right decisions to take their greviance to court, and implores all to be peaceful.
The African Union’s Peace and Security Council also called on all political parties in the country to seek a peaceful solution after the outcome of the elections, while imploring the government to maintain peace and stability.
